Nick Baxter the Owner of the Worcester Wine Company has over 10 years in the drinks industry. Graduating with a Degree in Marketing and Business Administration, Nick embarked on a professional rugby career with the Worcester Warriors.

His Rugby Career

During his rugby Career with the Worcester Warriors, Pertemp Bees and Stourbridge RFC he attained 3 national try scoring records and became the first player in National league rugby to score first 100 league tries and more recently 150 leagues tries!


 
He has represented England Students and England Sevens at the Commonwealth games in Kuala Lumpur. He has played for the Barbarians on numerous occasions and since retiring as a semi-pro he can be seen giving a bit back to grass roots rugby at his junior club Kings Norton RFC.

Rugby Highlights

Nick has enjoyed many highlights in his rugby career but lists amongst his favourites representing England Sevens at the Commonwealth Games playing against the likes of Jonah Lomu and David Campese. Also beating the European & Premiership Champions Wasps in the Powergen Cup 2004. His ultimate highlight and acclaim has to be scoring his 150th League try in 2006.

Passion For Wine

 
After the Worcester Warriors Nick decided to put his degree to good use and he joined Cider giants Bulmers, and then on to the largest wine business in the world Constellation Europe. Having gained his WSET certificates and Diploma he decided that he would like to create a wine company that catered for a more discerning wine appreciator and hey presto The Worcester Wine Company.
 
Nicks passion for wine is infectious and he is just as enthusiastic to sell an entry level bottle of Chilean wine as he is organising the stocking of expensive cellars as he so often does for his serious corporate buyers.
